Health Minister celebrates ten years of NHS Careers

Health minister, Mike O’Brien QC MP joined with NHS Careers to celebrate its tenth anniversary.

NHS Careers was launched in 1999 by the Department of Health to help fill nursing and midwifery vacancies. Over the last ten years, it has evolved into a service supporting over 350 different careers in the NHS via a helpline, literature and websites.

Managed by NHS Employers since 2005, NHS Careers now offers programmes for specific audiences including 14-19 year olds, graduates and career changers.
