He is currently senior employee relations manager in a large health and social care trust in Northern Ireland. He was a founder member of the NHS Staff Council job evaluation working group (JEWP) which was tasked back in 1999 with designing the Agenda for Chance job evaluation scheme.
He became management side chair of the JEWP in 2003 and was appointed to the then Modernisation Agency as the job evaluation project manager for early implementation and initial roll out of the scheme. He is the current chair of management side of the NHS Council job evaluation group.
