He is now a freelance consultant but previously worked in further education, in Inner London and Plymouth, for over thirty years. Employed originally as a social science lecturer, he moved into senior management in the mid 1990s. He graduated originally from the London School of Economics and subsequently achieved and MBA with the OU Business School.
When not working he enjoys playing the guitar, photography and spending time with his family. He also chairs the Plymouth Foyer Advisory Board.
