Working and training in the National Health Service – a guide for international medical graduates thinking about working or training in the UK

Date: 19/08/2010
Format: Electronic

This web-based guidance is free to download and aimed primarily at overseas-qualified medical practitioners from outside of the European economic area. NHS organisations can use the guide, which is also available from the NHS Careers website, as part of their recruitment and induction material.

The guide aims to make doctors and dentists from outside the UK aware of the opportunities available and to help them understand the immigration processes and requirements. It includes details of sources of further information and where to check for up-to-date details of immigration and other requirements.

More information about this publication is available from our medical education and training web pages.
