NHS Employers is recruiting 20 new trusts who will be our Equality and Diversity Partners for 2010/11.
Our Partners represent a broad range of NHS organisations and are awarded Partner status for one year, after demonstrating that they meet clear criteria. This includes board level support for equality and diversity, starting with the trust's chief executive.
Once selected, we will work with our Partners to further embed equality and diversity in their organisation. In turn, they will help shape our equality and diversity work programme to support all NHS trusts.
Key milestones for 2010/11
The key steps for recruiting Partner trusts for 2010/11 are outlined below:
- 14 October 2009 - trusts register their interest by completing an on-line form and, after 14 October, get more details on the role
- 21 October to 31 December 2009 - interested trusts provide more details about their organisation's equality and diversity work. This will then be assessed by our recruitment panel
- March 2010 - we will appoint 20 new NHS Employers Equality and Diversity Partners for 2010/11
