08/01/2013
The recently published 2011 Census data, is a good source of comparative data for workforce planners and diversity specialists. Read on to find out more, and how NHS Employers have developed tools that help you to further analyse your workforce.
NHS Staff on ward

On 11 December 2012, the Office for National Statistics published their latest analysis of the 2011 Census data – which focussed on who we are, how we live and what we do within the UK.

This data can be analysed regionally and locally and is a good source of comparative data for workforce planners and diversity specialists.

The NHS workforce data is collected and analysed by the Information Centre - and NHS Employers have worked with them to develop some simple and easy tools to allow you to analyse your workforce by age, disability, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation and religion or belief.
