15/02/2010
Living Our Local Values is a toolkit for local NHS trusts that will enable them to build on the work of the NHS Constitution and the publication of the NHS Values.

About the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement

patient on a wardThe Institute provides support to the NHS to transform healthcare for patients and the public by rapidly developing and spreading new ways of working, new technology and world class leadership.

The Living our local values project

The Values team at the Institute has worked in partnership with the NHS, PA Consulting and SHM to design a Values Development Resource to enable any NHS organisation to develop or refresh their own local values.

The resource has three main elements:

- a best practice guide, which offers evidence for what works, drawing on inspiring examples from the NHS and from the private and public sectors.

- a simple diagnostic tool to assess the extent to which you are living your local values and understand what is needed to support this.

- tools and resources to support you to live your values and help you measure their impact.

Ordering the resource

The pack is available free of charge to NHS organisations.

It can be obtained by contacting New Audience on 01922 742555 or by emailing them at institute@newaudience.co.uk .

NHS organisations are limited to a maximum of three copies each.
