Report from August programme board

6 / 9 / 2011

I’m pleased to be able to report that lots of progress has been made over the summer and the campaign will be ready to launch, with resources available, from early September.

Our branding and approach has been tested extensively in partnership with staff side organisations and has resulted in us developing a useful and practical selection of materials to help you run a successful campaign.

Campaign pack

The majority of flu leads have been identified and will receive a pack containing posters leaflets and stickers in the first week of September.

These materials, along with a range of other resources, including a campaign guide, mythbusters, case studies and much more, will also be made available online for download.

The campaign now has a Facebook and a twitter page (www.facebook.com/NHSFlu Fighter and @NHSFluFighter) and news on the campaign has been and continues to be published across a range of publications.

Events

We will be holding a series of regional workshops for flu leads in September. The sessions will focus on making the most of the campaign materials and leading a successful campaign. A webinar for flu leads will also be held on 14 September.

We will also be providing regular updates on campaign activities on our flu campaign pages.

Feedback

We really want your feedback – are the materials useful? What is missing? How else can we help you? Please also don’t be shy if you have done something different or effective, get in touch via our email address (below) and tell us so that we can share your good work.

I will continue to write a short report after each meeting of the programme board to give you a quick update - and don't hesitate to get in touch with me via seasonalflu2011@nhsemployers.org.
