How can I apply to be a Care Maker or find out more about applying?
Visit our application page.

What should I put in the 6Cs section part on my application?

Visit our Putting the 6Cs into action page for examples from our current Care Makers. This page is useful for anyone struggling with the 6Cs section on the application forms and is a reminder that upholding the 6Cs every day can be as simple as taking the time to sit and talk with a patient or hold their hand. Or you can take a look at our 6cs defined page, to inspire you and remind you of what each one means.

Events

I am putting on event. What marketing or promotional materials can you send me?
Unfortunately, at the moment we are unable to provide printed materials to help you promote the Care Makers campaign, but there are plenty of useful resources and ideas online to help you with your event.

If you have have a laptop or tablet you could play a loop of the Care Makers video - available here on the website and also on YouTube. Or you could perhaps use storify to display some of the social media conversations around the 6Cs or the #caremakers

In the tools and resources section you can also find the Care Maker branded PowerPoints which might be helpful for any presentation. There are also some materials if they would like to display or print them - these are a credit card sized summary of the 6Cs, a 6Cs visual chart with supporting actions, a copy of the 6Cs logo and an A5 roll-fold leaflet on the 6Cs. These are all on this web page.

On the Care Makers hub we also have a page full of practical examples of how the 6Cs have been put into practice by Care Makers.  Or you could also point people in the direction of the application forms, or take some to an event with you if yuo have access to a printer. The forms are available to print or view online here.

We are continually working on developing our resources section and we are currently developing a Care Maker app that we plan to launch in November, and also more flyers specifically about the Care Maker programme that will be available online.

We are committed to providing as many resources as we can to support you in your role, and we aim to do this in a way that is as cost efficient as possible.
