The JEG is aware that recently, national groups have been set up to assess the job demands of emerging national roles and to draft job descriptions. In some cases, these roles have been awarded bandings at local level, which have then been circulated across the NHS as 'agreed national' bandings.
This has led to some confusion about the status of the outcomes of these exercises, especially where there has been no input from the JEG.
