NHS Employers Values Based Recruitment Project

Post Francis, there is a greater emphasis to ensure that staff who are recruited into the NHS are recruited for values, to deliver the best possible care for patients. NHS Employers is working on a Values Based Recruitment (VBR) project as part of a wider Heath Education England (HEE) national VBR project. To find out more about the national project, visit our HEE national project section and the HEE website.

Throughout the Values Based Recruitment project, we will add regular updates of project activities, shared learning, resources and cover the following topics:

  • partner network updates
  • shared learning - case studies of good practice around VBR
  • why recruit for values
  • why it is worth investing in
  • national programme updates
  • how you can take a 'values' approach to employment practice
