Our policy board

The policy board sets the direction of travel for NHS Employers' policy work and how we deliver our programmes. Each member is a champion for a specific workforce area, or brings an expert perspective from their organisation, colleagues and networks. 

The board considers NHS Employers' submissions to the Pay Review Bodies and our formal responses to consultations. In addition, members consider the workforce and employment implications of existing and emerging national policy and engages with NHS organisations to influence policy development and its implementation, where it impacts on the health workforce. 

The members support high-level discussions as appropriate with key stakeholders including ministers, DH officials and representatives from NHS organisations such as NHS England, Health Education England, NHS TDA, Monitor and the CQC.
