Equality and diversity: rising to the challenge of change

On Tuesday 7 November NHS Employers held its second equality and diversity annual conference. Building on the success of last year's conference, this event attracted 300 delegates and focused on how organisations can keep equality and diversity on their agenda at a time of change.

Summary of the conference
The keynote address came from Rt Hon. Rosie Winterton. Both Rosie Winterton and Dame Judith Mayhew Jonas, from the government's Equalities Review, provided a national overview. Lloyds TSB and ASDA emphasised the business case and shared success stories from the corporate world.

Workshops
Six workshops were held on the day. These were based around topics the service had stated they would like covered by NHS Employers. Brief summaries of the workshops can be found below. Links to presentations can be found on the presentations page.
