Key priorities for 2008/09

 

In 2008/09 we will be working to increase our customer focus, developing our products and services to ensure we continue to support you with the changing demands you face.

Some of our key priorities for 2008/09 include:

  • continuing to support employers with Modernising Medical Careers
  • contributing to plans for nursing training and development
  • building on the strengths of NHS Jobs and NHS Careers
  • new work on improving workforce productivity
  • ongoing partnership working with the trade unions and Department of Health
  • revising the GMS contract and new arrangements for pharmacy
  • looking at arrangements for injury benefit
  • focusing on staff engagement and involvement
  • developing our work with non-executive directors
  • influencing the professional regulation agenda
  • increasing the impact of our equality and diversity work
  • sharing good employment practice.
