Consultants' contract: sharing the benefits

NHS Employers hosted the national 'consultants' contract: sharing the benefits' event on 8 October at the Queen Elizabeth II conference centre, London. Around 200 delegates attended the event, which aimed to share the many positive examples of how the consultants' contract is being used as an effective tool to deliver benefits for trusts, patients and consultants.

The event also marked the end of the large scale workforce change (LSWC) team's consultant contract work programme. The team worked with 44 trusts in a fast paced, ten month programme, to support employers in using the consultant contract to enable them to work more effectively and deliver real service improvements for the NHS.
