What we do
We work with employers to reflect their views and act on their behalf in four priority areas:
  • pay and negotiations
  • recruitment and planning the workforce
  • healthy and productive workplaces
  • employment policy and practice

We keep employers up to date with the latest workforce thinking; provide practical advice and information; and help them to network and share knowledge.

How we work
Forging strong partnerships with Government, trade unions and other stakeholders means we can promote employers' interests at the highest levels, addressing current workforce issues and helping to shape the future.

Our policy board plays an important role in making decisions about the work, position and direction of NHS Employers.

We are part of the NHS Confederation and the Department of Health sets the broad framework within which we operate, but it is employers themselves who drive our agenda.
