Press release: NHS Employers response to BMA comment on recruitment of junior doctors in 200803 Oct 2007
Steve Barnett, Director of NHS Employers and MMC programme board member said: "Although we do not yet have ministerial agreement for the proposed mechanisms for recruitment to speciality training for next year, we were pleased with the constructive nature of the discussions at this week's meeting. NHS Employers represents the views of NHS organisations on the MMC Programme Board and we believe that both employers and doctors will see the new proposals as pragmatic and fair. We will inform employers of the changes to arrangements for 2008 as soon as they are approved by ministers." Notes for editors
