Press release: NHS Jobs service saves trusts £5 million26 Jan 2006 Figures released by NHS Employers today at the Healthcare People Management Association conference in Manchester show that trusts have saved over £5 million by using NHS Jobs, the e-recruitment service for the NHS. Results of a survey by NHS Employers of 550 trusts which use the NHS Jobs service for their recruitment activities show that the £5 million saving was made over a six month period. The bulk of this saving was made in two key areas:
NHS Jobs has over 1 million visitors per month and is now the fourth largest jobs board in the UK. Stuart Morison, NHS Jobs service manager at NHS Employers said: "These results show that trusts are finding that there are significant benefits of using NHS Jobs. Not only is it making the recruitment process much more effective and efficient, but it is also having the added benefit of impacting on their finances. We are seeing a monthly increase in the number of NHS organisations using the site and expect this trend to continue'. The following comments were made by trusts who responded to the survey: 'NHS Jobs has significantly improved the image of the recruitment department across the trust', Camden and Islington Mental Health and Social Care Trust.
