Press release: Agenda for Change pay circular agreed

26 May 2006

Alastair Henderson, Deputy Director of NHS Employers said:

'We are pleased to announce that we have received confirmation today that the staff side of the Pay Negotiating Council (PNC) has accepted the pay offer of a 2.5% increase for all staff covered by the PNC for 2006/7.  This is in line with the award for nurses and other health professionals from the NOHPRB that was accepted by the Government in March.

We have issued a pay circular with new Agenda for Change pay scales to pay roll providers and are sending the information to trusts.

This should enable the new rates to be paid to staff in their June pay packages'.

This award is in line with the NOHPRB.
