Evaluating your campaign

It is important to evaluate your flu fighter residential care campaign both during your campaign activity as well as at the end of the flu season. This will allow you to see what effect the campaign is having on your organisation’s winter resilience.

The success of the campaign can be measured in a variety of ways and it is not only determined by the number of staff who had the vaccination. However, total vaccination figures are a key point in an evaluation, so it is important to plan how you are going to record uptake from the beginning. Other ways to measure success could be to look at how effective campaign materials were, how informed staff felt about the virus or compare levels of staff sickness and the effect on service delivery.

The reviewing your campaign guide will help you to collate information. This will also help you to extract insights into what is working well and what could be improved to help make improvements to future campaigns.
