The flu fighter awards celebrate the great achievements of flu teams and organisations in promoting the flu vaccine to frontline health and social care staff in the season 2017/18.
The awards will be take place on the evening of Tuesday 24th April at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
Attendance at the award ceremony will be open to those individuals and organisations who are shortlisted for an award.

This year we have seven award categories:
flu fighter champion
This award aims to recognise and celebrate the commitment of an individual who has gone above and beyond expectations to promote the flu vaccination to staff. The winner will be a true ‘flu hero’ and will have approached their local flu campaign with tenacity and originality.
Most improved flu fighter campaign
This award aims to showcase organisations who have made a significant improvement in flu vaccination uptake and to their overall campaign. Groups submitting nominations for this category must be representative of no less than 100 staff and must include uptake figures for this group from last season (2016/17) and this current 2017/18 season.
Best flu fighter team
This award celebrates organisations that have utilised their flu team’s range of skills to lead a successful flu vaccination campaign and shown brilliant leadership, team working and delegation.
Most innovative flu fighter campaign
This award recognises new or exciting strategies flu teams have implemented to improve uptake in 2017/18 flu season. The winning team will be selected for their innovative ideas, positive impact and potential to be examples of good practice for organisations to adopt in 2018/19 flu campaigns.
#flufighter award for digital and social media
This award is for those who have shown outstanding creativity in the use of digital and social media to promote the flu vaccine to staff. We want to hear how organisations have sustained momentum and built a buzz around their local flu fighter campaigns.
flu fighter care award
This award looks to celebrate the achievements of an individual, a team or an organisation that has led the way in the social care sector by increasing flu vaccination uptake amongst staff.
flu fighter+ award
This is for any organisation who have successfully encouraged members of the public to have their flu vaccination.
