It is critical that staff should feel empowered and supported to raise concerns safely and confidently at work.

Helene Donnelly raised concerns when she worked in the accident and emergency department at Stafford Hospital. Helene is now working at the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Partnership NHS Trust as a Nurse Practitioner at a walk-in centre, and has become the Ambassador for Cultural Change at the Trust.

Caroline Waterfield, Head of Employment Services at NHS Employers met with Helene to talk about her role as an Ambassador, what it involves, and how it can make a difference to encouraging staff to raise concerns at work.

We hope that you find their discussion interesting and informative.
