The Royal Free London acquired Barnet Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital which had come together from a previous merger. Prior to the aquisition, the senior leadership team felt that there needed to be a focus on culture, as there were signs that the initial merger hadn't been entirely successful. The organisations had integrated by name but not completely by working practices.

The Royal Free London created a culture steering group tofocus on the successful integration of the organisations.
