This event saw the official launch of the East of England Streamlining Programme. Following on from the initial London Streamlining Programme and the subsequent West & East Midlands streamlining launch, the HRD Network have formally established a regional team to ensure that HR processes within the East of England can be streamlined, through collaborative working, sharing best practice nationally and working together to challenge current ways of doing things and constantly looking for improvements to the process.

The main areas of focus within the East of England programme are split into four key workstreams:

·         Recruitment

·         Occupational Health

·         Junior Doctors Rotation

·         Statutory and mandatory training

All staff involved with the Streamlining Programme were encouraged to attend to ensure that they understood the regional vision, met with key team members and were able to contribute to the development of the workstreams objectives.

The day included a variety of speakers, plenty of opportunity to raise questions, learn from trusts who have gone through the streamlining experience, and spent the afternoon working in dedicated break-out sessions that focused on defining the priorities and objectives for each workstream.
