Social media 101: Building confidence on social media
If you’ve never used social media but would like to understand how to, this is the course for you. You’ll leave having sent a tweet, left a comment on Facebook and searched for colleagues on LinkedIn. By the end of the day you’ll be able to answer questions like: What’s a retweet? How do I manage my security and privacy settings? How do I post something on Facebook? What should a LinkedIn profile contain? Should I follow my boss on Twitter?
Date: 13 January 2015 Time: 10.30 - 15.30
Social media 201: Strategic use of social media
This course is for people who are already using social media at work, be it a campaign, running a corporate account or promoting a service on social media. You'll know about hashtags, mentions, DMs, PMs, monitoring, audience research and creating content that meets your audiences' needs. This course will help you reach the next level in social media skill and strategy.
We’ll delve deeper into how setting objectives helps you to measure and evaluate your social media work. We’ll look at how audience research forms the basis of a social media campaign and what sources of audience segmentation information are available. This course will focus on helping you leave with a clear and deliverable plan for your next social media project, along with an in-depth understanding of social media and the confidence to work with negative comments online.
