10 / 3 / 2015 10am - 10 / 3 / 2015 3.30pm
The purpose of the event is to give NHS OD Practitioners access to stimulating academic thinking, discussion and debate. There is a wealth of research and evidence that supports the practice of Organisational Development but we don’t always have or make the time to engage with it in meaningful ways. The event will help us recognise the range of academic thinking available and give opportunities to discuss how we can better embed evidence and theory into our work. This will be an energetic day which aims to stretch our brains, create space for conversation and challenge our thinking through provocative debate.
This event is now closed but you can read a summary of the day.
We’ve booked some top class external speakers for the day:
Cliff Oswick - Cass Business School
Linda Holbeche - The Holbeche Partnership
Anne Clare Gillon - University of the West of Scotland
Mark Doughty - Centre for Patient Leadership
Stefan Cantore - University of Southampton
Each of our speakers has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with us. We’re really excited about the impact this event could have on our practice of OD in the NHS.
Opportunity to share your experiences
As well as these fantastic external speakers we are keen to give space to NHS OD Practitioners who would like to bring their own theories, case studies, ideas and research experience to the day. This could be in the form of a short paper, a poster or a conversation / presentation / session during the event. Top tip: If you’re undertaking a course or research project it could be a good opportunity to test out your thinking with 100+ OD professionals! If you would like to contribute to the day in some way please contact Rebecca.email@example.com for more information.
A full agenda will follow in mid February. We’re finishing the event at 3.30pm to give everyone the chance to be on 4pm trains from Bristol.
We have approximately 120 places available at this event. Depending on demand we may need to limit the number of people who come from any one organisation if we are oversubscribed, but if that’s the case we’ll have a conversation with you and give you a choice of how to best allocate the spaces.
