NHS Employers has been making progress towards delivering changes to local clinical excellence award (CEA) schemes. We expect to be in a position to make a formal announcement shortly.
Improving the links between pay and performance remains an aim of government and changes to local CEA schemes can provide employers with a framework which better incentivises individual consultant performance against locally agreed organisational priorities.
This webinar will provide employers with an early indication of the likely changes including:
- a summary of the emerging outline agreement
- implications for employers and forthcoming implementation support materials
- details of the wider reform agenda of the 2003 consultant contract and likely timescales.
The webinar will take place on Friday 16 February between 11am-12noon.

The webinar is an employer only event and is primarily aimed at directors of workforce and HR, medical directors and their deputies, and medical staffing leads. It will also be of interest to all those who play a part in the running of local CEA processes.
