The North SPF conference will focus on inclusion in the NHS, looking at positive cultures and addressing bias. We will also be celebrating the NHS 70th Birthday.

The event will provide a vital opportunity for HRDs, staff side colleagues and other ALBs and partners to learn, network and take away an understanding of current diversity and inclusion issues in the NHS, how they can work in partnership to tackle issues, as well as sharing good practice and making contacts with peers and partners.

The event will draw links between national priorities and the implications and planning needed at a regional level in the North. The programme will also help inform ways of working at an organisational level. The event will be one of celebration as well as important learning.

We are delighted to announce we will be joined by:

  • Joy Warmington, CEO, BRAP, a national equalities and human rights charity. Joy will be talking about current diversity and inclusion issues in the NHS and work on unconscious bias.
  • Amanda Oates, executive director of workforce, Mersey Care. Amanda will talk about the development of their ‘just culture’ journey and how it links in to positive outcomes for staff and patients.
