Positively Diverse lead sites

There is a national network at the centre of Positively Diverse that was set up to provide support for organisations wishing to undertake the Positively Diverse process. At the core of this network are the lead sites, they represent a mix of different sizes, types and locations of NHS organisations across the country.

The role of the lead sites

Lead sites have helped enormously in making sure that the Positively Diverse methodology is robust and generally applicable to NHS organisations. The role of the lead sites within the programme is to share their knowledge, expertise and experience of implementing Positively Diverse. They work with NHS Employers to:

• provide support for NHS organisations wishing to undertake the programme;
• contribute to future development of the programme and its activities through continually developing innovative policy and practice;
• provide a coordinated focus for the Positively Diverse training programme.

Each lead site holds a network event in their local area each year and acts as a point of contact for NHS organisations in their local area for equality and diversity advice and guidance.
