MSc Diversity Management

This MSc programme developed by the University of Bradford and supported by NHS Employers, demonstrates a curriculum at the cutting edge of learning. The course involves a consortium of universities with recognised expertise in equality and diversity.

Diversity management is at the heart of the Government's agenda on tackling inequalities and improving the health and well-being of the population. The MSc programme will develop the capacity and competences of managers and practitioners who are responsible for managing equality and diversity issues in their organisations.

The course is designed to provide a set of essential competences relevant to the:

• NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework;
• National Workforce Competences (Skills for Health 2004)
• National Occupational Standards;
• NHS Leadership Qualities Framework; and
• Key Skills in Higher Education.

This course is part time and has a choice of entry and exit points. It is possible to study a single module to contribute towards Continuous Professional Development (CPD) or to progress to:

• Postgraduate Certificate
• Postgraduate Diploma
• MSc Diversity Management

Fees can be waived for employees in the following categories who are sponsored by their managers for places under the Continuing Education

• health or social care employees in Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Health Authority patch, including private and voluntary organisations.
• staff from organisations outside Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Health Authority patch, who provide clinical placements for the university they wish to attend.
