Changes to notice periods for NHS bodies

 

Department of Health Directions to standardise notice periods to no more than six months for chief executives, executive directors and other senior managers will came into force on 18 June 2008.

The Directions set a maximum notice period of six months for all new contracts with executives in strategic health authorities, primary care trusts, NHS trusts (including ambulance trusts), and special health authorities. Trusts should review their notice periods and make any necessary changes for all new contracts. For more details see the Department of Health website.
