Knowledge base Working collaboratively and sharing good practice across the NHS

The knowledge base is a new and exciting initiative from NHS Employers. We recognise that there is a wealth of shared learning within the service and the knowledge base offers the ideal opportunity to showcase examples of good practice and case studies so that they can be adopted and developed by other NHS organisations to meet individual needs.

Further developments to this site will include:

• Forums to allow you to swap ideas and discuss key issues
• Password-protected for special interest areas and collaborative work.
  

Sources of the examples of shared learning
The examples come from a number of different sources such as the Improving Working Lives initiative; Equality & Diversity initiatives; Health in Work; and the Back in Work Awards to name just a few.

How to search for examples
The knowledge base is still under development and new examples are being added all the time, currently examples are collected under individual areas so the easiest way to find examples is to use the search facility and typing in a key word to run a search, alternatively you can click on the individual work area found on the left-hand menu on the home page ie Employer Excellence: Equality & Diversity.

At the end of each entry you will find contact details for the person in the organisation who supplied the example and/or an email address for further information.
