Dean Royles said Government's decision seeks to ensure that increases in take home pay are consistent with other staff in the NHS.

Commenting on today's announcement by the Government on the GP contract, Dean Royles, chief executive of the NHS Employers organisation, said:

"The Government's decision to uplift the GP contract by 1.32 per cent clearly seeks to ensure that increases in the take home pay of practice staff are consistent with increases that other staff within the NHS will receive."
