Supporting working carers report published

The report summarises the findings of the Carers in Employment Task and Finish Group. The group was set up in 2012 with the aim of helping people in the UK to combine work and caring duties, and consists of a number of well known organisations including BT, Sainsbury's, the Cabinet Office and the Department of Health.

The report goes into detail on the issues around working carers such as, the impact on families, employers and the economy and explains what opportunities can be gained for employers who offer support for working carers. It also makes a number of recommendations for care and support services, and employment practices for organisations in the UK.
