Do you employ salaried primary care dentists?

13 / 9 / 2013 9.25am

Many trusts now employ salaried dentists on the national Salaried Primary Dental Care Services contract.

We are seeking employer representatives for the Joint National Committee which negotiates with the British Dental Association on  matters relevant to the national terms and conditions of salaried dentists.

Meetings are usually held twice a year in either Leeds, Sheffield or London. We would like to involve colleagues with an interest in the terms and conditions of salaried dentists who feel that they can represent NHS employers in a national negotiating committee and who might welcome the opportunity to influence the development of national terms and conditions for this particular group of NHS professional staff.

We are also aware that, with the demise of PCTs, services which require the involvement of salaried primary dental care staff have been taken on by a range of different NHS organisations with differing degrees of familiarity with national terms and conditions.

We would like to invite you to join an email reference group that we are setting up to facilitate the exchanging of information relevant to the current national terms and conditions of salaried dentists. This may be of particular interest to colleagues in medical staffing or other HR departments who find that they have fairly recently picked up responsibility for the employment of salaried dentists.

If you would like to join either the Joint National Committee or be part of the email exchange group please email or telephone 0113 3063057.
