The changes include a change to the definition of a pay reference period, an extended deadline for passing worker contributions and a new provision to allow the customisation of opt out notices.
Further details on these changes can be found in the government response to the consultation which was published on the 11 October 2013.
From 1 April 2014 the joining window will be extended from four to six weeks and the deadlines for registration and postponement notices will be extended to fit with this.
