Building on our work with the British Medical Association (BMA) to produce joint guidance on consultant job planning, we will be holding a joint one-day pilot job planning training event.

The aim of the event is to bring managers and consultants together to pilot a training package designed to help improve the quality of consultant job planning.

The pilot session will involve around 50 participants comprising LNC chairs, HR directors and Medical Directors with the eventual aim of  training regional and local champions to help support and develop job planning training.

We are looking for around 25 HR directors, medical directors, clinical directors and others with an interest in developing effective job planning to join this free event. Your commitment would be to attend the event and help test and develop the material prior to a wider roll out.

The programme and speakers are being finalised but the event is will include presentations and interactive sessions on the following:

  • Job planning (from the basics to advanced)
