The UK Foundation Programme Office published two reports on 28 November 2013.

Foundation Programme Annual Report 2013 provides an overview of doctors in the programme from August 2012 to July 2013 and the outcome of recruitment to the programme for entry in August 2013.

As well as providing key facts and figures of those on the programme, the report also gives an overview of the numbers identified as 'doctors in difficulty'; annual review of competence progression (ARCP) outcomes and a breakdown of the specialty areas experienced by doctors in the foundation programme.

The F2 Career Destination Report gives an insight into how many doctors who completed their Foundation training in July 2013, went on to secure specialty training posts in the UK. The report identifies the career destinations of those who chose not to follow this route directly from F2, or who failed to achieve their specialty post of choice.

Information is provided on F1 specialty aspirations and looks at some of the reasons why some doctors' actual career destinations can differ from their aspirations at F1 level.

The full reports are available on the UK Foundation Programme Office website.
