The Healthcare Equality Index is a tool for healthcare organisations - providers and commissioners - in England to measure their efforts to tackle discrimination and deliver equality for lesbian, gay and bisexual patients and communities.
This is the second year of the Healthcare Equality Index.
The 2014 Index
There are two sets of questions – one for healthcare providers and one for healthcare commissioners.
There is guidance to make sure you understand what the Index is looking for and to refer back to it when completing your submission.
Workplace Equality Index
The Healthcare Equality Index is an accompaniment to Stonewall's Workplace Equality Index, Stonewall's annual benchmarking tool for employers. Organisations who have taken part in the 2014 Workplace Equality Index will have their score and position taken into consideration in the Healthcare Equality Index this year.
You can download a frequently asked questions document on the Healthcare Equality Index, on the Stonewall website, and for more information and help with the Healthcare Equality Index please email firstname.lastname@example.org
