Last Autumn we carried out a survey of NHS employers organisations to ask you about total reward. Your responses highlighted very clearly that few employers (approximately 14 percent) have clearly defined reward strategies. The main reason for not having a strategy was lack of capacity and capability within the HR function. We have developed a reward strategy toolkit to guide you through the process of developing and succesfully implementing your reward strategy.
In this phase we lead you through the preparation and planning which will provide the foundation for your reward strategy. We give you guidance and handy tools to help you assess your current reward offering; identify your reward goals and analyse the gap between the two. We also consider the external market and how that impacts on your organisation.
In the new year we will launch phase 2 where we help you to design and develop your toolkit, ensuring it is locally focussed and aligned to your organisational objectives. Phase 3 will be launched at the end of January and will provide practical tools and tips on communicating your reward strategy and implementing it effectively.
The toolkit will be regularly reviewed and updated as we hear about your successes and challenges and share your experiences. We want to hear what additional resources you need such as factsheets, presentations, FAQ's or webinars.
