Avoidable pressure ulcers are a key indicator of the quality of nursing care. Preventing them happening will improve the care for vulnerable patients, Care Makers have a key role to play.

 

 The 'Stop the pressure' campaign is about:

  • challenging people to act. The campaign is linked to NHS Change Day to ask people to pledge the changes they are going to make to prevent pressure ulcers
  • actively sharing  tools, case studies, blogs and latest thinking on pressure ulcers prevention. Find out more at www.stopthepressure.com
  • promoting and supporting student events that raise awareness of pressure ulcers
  • engagement - the 'Stop the pressue' campaign group will be developing online webinar programmes for key people who can prevent pressure ulcers.
