In 2013, we produced the world’s first dedicated organisational development (OD) podcast. Now to kick off 2014 we want to try something different. You’ve heard of Extreme Fishing with Robson & Jerome, well this is extreme podcasting Do OD style.

At the end of each month we will be releasing a new episode of 'DoODcast', our new monthly podcast. There are only two rules:

  • it’s recorded live, in one take
  • each episode will be under ten minutes.

With this new approach we want to put the fun back into podcasting, there is a time and a place for serious thinking podcasts but with DoODcast we want to create a new type of listening experience, a combination of a podcast/newsflash/magazine show.

Each month the DoOD team will give you a rundown of some of the highlights from the previous month, point out things you may have missed and give an update on what's coming up. We’ll have special guests talking about hot OD topics and we’ll read your tweets and emails from our cyber-postbag.

In this first episode you’ll meet our team from NHS Employers, Paul Taylor, Lisa Atkin, Stephanie Foley and also Karen Dumain from the NHS Leadership Academy. As this is our first DoODcast you can practically hear the fear in the room!  Steph talks about ODecember and the launch of our TEAM toolkit in the 'In case you missed it' segment, Lisa asks for your ideas and suggestions for future guests and Karen gives you the heads up on all things 'coming soon'.
