Total Reward: Statements to-do timeline begins for tranche 1

10 / 4 / 2014 Midnight

Tranche 1 organisations recently began their 20-week to-do list, in readiness for the first implementation of Total Reward Statements (TRS) in August 2014.

TRS has been developed by NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) to give NHS staff a clear picture off their total reward package by providing details on the value of their employment.

Statements will be rolled out in three tranches geographically, with statements being uploaded from August 2014.  NHSBSA recently confirmed which tranche each organisation will be in.

Tranche 1 organisations recently began their 20-week to-do list and will have received an email from NHS BSA with several actions for tranche 1 organisations to undertake:

  • Hold sessions to engage local staff representatives where appropriate. It is important that staff side representatives are introduced to TRS/ABS early to support a successful outcome.
  • Include a message about TRS/ABS in your local communications. The local communications pack developed by NHSBSA will help you to do this.
  • If you have not done so already please appoint a TRS/ABS lead and let NHSBSA know who this is by emailing with your EA code and contact details.

If you are in tranche 2 or 3, your 20-week to-do list will commence shortly and you will receive email reminder from NHSBSA.

Information on the to-do list and timeline and to find out which tranche your organisation is in, visit the NHS BSA website.
