Unions plan day of activity on pay - 5 June

27 / 5 / 2014 9.43am

NHS trade unions are planning a 'day of action' across England on 5 June in protest against the Government’s decision not to implement the 1 per cent pay increase recommended by the NHS Pay Review Body.

What to expect on 5 June

We understand that the type of activity taking place on the day is likely to include:

  • rallies / lunchtime protests
  • recruitment drives and
  • local publicity and social media activities.

No impact on patient services

The day of activity is not industrial action and will not affect staff undertaking their normal duties or impact on delivery of patient services. It will be a matter for local trust management as to whether they give permission to allow local protests to be held on employer’s premises or grounds.
