The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy’s annual Workout at Work Day
takes place on Friday 6 June.
The day aims to encourage staff to stay healthy and fit by being more physically active at work and making simple changes to daily routines.
Workout at Work Day was first launched in 2011 as a way for physiotherapy staff to encourage employees in different jobs to develop healthier work habits and increase levels of physical activity, in order to reduce sickness absence.
This year there will be a focus on promoting the benefits of exercising outdoors and using what is free and available in your local area such as parks and outdoor gyms.
Visit The Great Outdoor Gym Company's website to find one in your local area.
NHS Employers has information on the NICE guideline to support physical activity and the environment on our website.
The CSP has free online resources to help your staff get more active including a set of postcards with exercises for office-based workers, Fit for Active Work and theirEasy Exercise Guide.
You can get involved in Workout at Work Day by organising an event to promote physical activity and exercise at your workplace. If you'd like to run an event, please email email@example.com or phone on 020 7306 6666 to find out more.
