Total Reward Statements - Totally about you

Read all the latest updates for employers on Total Reward Statements (TRS) and what you need to do including: 

TRS have been developed by NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) in partnership with the Electronic Staff Records programme to support staff retention and motivation by providing NHS staff with details on the overall value of their employment package. TRS will be introduced in the NHS in three geographical tranches from August 2014.


Local benefits page  

The local benefits page is now available for you to upload your local branding, local benefits and contact details.

If your organisation uses ESR, the TRS portal has a dedicated employer section which enables you to view your employee statements, upload your local benefits and change your contact details. Guidance on how to upload information is available on the NHSBSA website.

Please note that regardless of which tranche you are in, the deadline for uploading content is 31 July 2014. 

We encourage you to prepare your local benefits and branding as soon as possible so that it is available to be uploaded ahead of the deadline.  


Webinar: Preparing for TRS  

We are hosting a free webinar on behalf of NHSBSA on 7 July at 2pm-3pm.  

The webinar will provide you with all you need to know about TRS including how you can prepare and engage with your staff ahead of your organisations statements being available to view.  

You can also hear from an employer who was part of the summer 2013 technical pilot about their experience of TRS and the lessons they have learnt for roll out.

TRS Case studies 

We have published two case studies following the TRS technical pilot that took place in summer 2013. 

These case studies give valuable insights into planning and implementing TRS and the lessons learnt to help you prepare for main roll out.

20-week timeline commenced for tranche 3 

If your organisation is in tranche 3 then your 20 week 'to do' timeline has started. Details of which tranche you are in are available on the NHSBSA website.

If you have updated NHSBSA with your TRS/ABS contact details then they will have contacted you via email about your to-do timeline. You can send your contact to NHSBSA, along with your EA code to nhsbsa.contactdetails@nhs.net.
