Organisational Development (OD) colleagues from across the NHS came together this week for OD in the NHS II: The Sequel, the second annual conference led by the Do OD team which is a partnership between NHS Employers and The NHS Leadership Academy.
The day saw 200 participants, representing 128 NHS organisations attend the conference in Westminster, London where they heard from Professor Michael West, Dr Pat Oakley and many more inspirational OD colleagues from across the country. The theme of the conference was celebrate, consolidate, challenge and participants experienced a variety of OD methods including #hellomynameis a campaign led by Dr Kate Granger and some opera singing which encouraged us all to find our voices and demonstrated the power that many voices have together.
Dean Royles, CEO of NHS Employers said: “It’s fantastic to see what our OD community, through Do OD, has achieved over the last year. These tools will help OD practitioners and the broader HR community to shape NHS organisations, ensuring that patients are given the best possible service”.
The conference also marked the launch of three brand new resources which were created by the NHS OD community: Doing OD in the NHS: Volume I, Think Brighter and OD for Clinical Commissioning Groups.
