In light of changes to English language requirements for doctors, we have updated our Language Competency Good Practice Guide for Employers.

Find out more about the new rules that give the General Medical Council (GMC) powers to ask any doctor (who has had concerns raised about their language skills) to undertake an English language assessment, and refuse a licence to practise for those doctors who do not meet the new standards.
