In our latest series of podcasts, we present the emerging results of a research evidence review on the impact of staff engagement in the NHS.

This review, undertaken by a team led by Professor Katie Truss of University of Sussex, has analysed the available research evidence on key issues related to staff engagement in healthcare. The study is funded by the National Institute of Healthcare Research and has yet to be fully published.

The initial findings from the review, are presented in four podcasts by members of the research team in discussion with Steven Weeks, policy manager on staff engagement with NHS Employers.

Each podcast focuses on a key issue, including:

  • An overview of the impact of staff engagement in the NHS
  • What is the meaning and importance of staff engagement?
  • What are the links between employee engagement and health and wellbeing?
  • What are the drivers of staff engagement and what actions can be taken by line managers?

Visit our resource page for more information and the listen to the podcasts.
