In the beginning
NHS Employers launched the Personal Fair and Diverse campaign at its annual conference in November 2011. The key campaign message was ‘to create a vibrant network of champions, each of whom are committed to taking some action, however small, to bring the values of the NHS Constitution to life’.
The campaign encouraged NHS staff to sign up to become a champion and commit to undertake whatever they can in their day-to-day jobs to improve patient experiences and to create fairer, more inclusive working environments. There are no requirements set down for them to follow and it is not intended to be time consuming.
